I am saddened to honestly say, this is one of my final homework assignments during my six-year stint as a student at Delaware County Community College. In all actuality I have taken some semesters off during my time here but I am going to miss it here. Also, I am honored to have taken Sabatino Mangini's English course during my time here. I remember when I registered for this course I told myself I would savor it and enjoy this semester for as much as I possibly could because it is going to be my last, and savor it, I did. I think this course helped me improve as a writer because our instructor made it fun and made his students actually want to come to class for twice a week. The fact that I am graduating this semester makes me that much more saddened that this semester is over. But still, I would not want to be spending a seventh year here at Delaware County Community College whereas I should've graduated by now. Besides, some students I've taken courses with over my six-year stint have either graduated, moved on to another college, or both these things. I plan to do both. I do plan to take some gap years then move on to another college for only a two-year stint, partly to avoid what I call "Gradation Blues" which I am experiencing now. My favorite parts about this course were the class being divided into four groups. I am in group EMMA (Erin, Marquita, Maia, Amir). I like my group a lot! I also like the creative group names my other fellow classmates have come up with (Delco's Finest, Powerful Pens, and Bacon). For these reasons, I would've liked for this to have been done much earlier in this final semester. The other thing I like about this course is playing "game shows." We've done two already. Unfortunately, for personal reasons, our professor wasn't here for class on 12/4/18 because I would've liked to have done at least one last game show before the semester's end. They were fun and were a way to help us remember and retain the material taught in this course.
I also liked that our instructor asked us to comment on each other's blog posts so that we could stay engaged and connected as a class... which is an interesting way for students (not just myself) to stay in touch after the semester is over, which is what we still will have our websites for. As far as our writer scholarship goes, our instructor has an interesting catchphrase—"making meaning." We write to make meaning so we can communicate to our audiences, whoever that may be. I would say the next time I write a piece, be it a novel, screenplay, short story, etc. I will always remember this course for the fun way our instructor engaged his students, the films we watched, games we played, etc. rather than just the generic hand the class handouts, have students complete them and turn them in for a grade, class lectures, etc. that most college instructors tend to stick to. This was also a funny class too! We managed to laugh at times and have a little fun while being taught and the other interesting part is, we taught each other, rather than Sabatino just teaching us. I've learned quite a bit from other students, other students learned from me, and I would even like to think we as the students taught Sabatino a few things. In a half-joking way, I often like to think a year or two down the road, all 17 of us (Sabatino and his 16 students including myself in ENG 112, Fall 2018 9:35-11:00am course) will all get together one day and have a "class reunion" to touch base on what we've learned since our time in class together, new endeavors, and how we apply what we've learned in this class to our everyday lives. Again, I'm certainly grateful to have had the opportunity to have had this course and I would lastly like to say thank you for the fun ride this has been and I wish all 16 of you well in your future college courses, endeavor's, careers, etc. Farewell! TEAM EMMA FOREVER!!!

I agree Amir, I am a little upset saying goodbye. It seems a bit surreal and I learned a lot in this course. But I don't think that this is goodbye forever. We're always going to need English in our lives and so reaching out to professor Mangini is just an email away. I loved my group I thought Freddy and Alexandra were amazing. This whole class system was fun. But you're right, it's sad to really saying goodbye man.
