Hello, everyone and thank you for dropping by. I have completed a Research Essay arguing that the Three Good Things gratitude process did not help me improve my emotional well-being,
all of which I discuss the certain ways I have or will go about gathering research data for my Research Project. There is a certain process I need to take before, during, and after I am writing a research essay project; first is to have an outline to work with so that I know how the paper is going to be organized. Also, I carefully read the assignment sheet to make sure I am following all guidelines to ascertain I will acquire the best grade that I can for it and that it will be the best Research Project that it can be. Also, since my Research Essay talks about the "Three Good Things" process not improving a person's wellbeing, I gather my sources—research that supports my argument that it does not. I also take notes in class while our instructor is giving tips and advice on how to write a paper correctly, tips of the trade, and take a look at sample papers, using them as a guideline to follow. Next thing I do is make sure I am quoting and citing sources properly. A good essay always has an equal balance of research material and the writer's original ideas and opinions, and never too much or little of either, and this is what I used the sample papers for. There did come a point where a few of my quotes exceeded three lines. When this happens, this is considered a "long quote" at which point you need to start a new line—not paragraph—and then indent the whole quote one tab-key-press in. I would then make those changes and refine my writing craft. Having someone proofread your work when its first draft is complete is my favorite part of the process because it allows another person to be a pair of eyes to catch any errors early on for me to correct and I can structure the paper properly. Later this semester, I plan to submit copies of my current drafts of my research projects to our instructor for him to critique my writing or just to proofreading. This way I know if there is anything I'm doing wrong. Thank you for taking the time to read all this, now please enjoy the three drafts of my Research I've written so far.
